Journal those have valid ISSN No. (Online / Print) can apply for Universal Impact Factor {UIF} and eligible for it. The Universal Impact Factor {UIF} is calculated per year based on several criteria's. Articles are selected and cited in Knowledge Database Service will consider for Impact Factor. Journal's who get Impact Factor will be displayed on this portal and also informed to respective journal.
Evaluation Methodology :
The journals are evaluated on various quality factors which affects Impact Factor of the journal. We are classified these factors in following 4 categories :-
1) Publishing Quality
  • Publication Counts : The no. of articles cited for respective year of that journal.
  • Journal Prestige : This factor includes the overall performance and impact of the journal in market.
  • Journal Discipline : Discipline of the journal.
  • Journals Estimated Importance and Relevance of the Research Field.
  • The journals presence in various indexing services and directories and listings.
  • The main and important factor is Article publishing regularity, which is depends on frequency of the journals article publishing.
  • Articles Originality : It is the important factor for getting Universal Impact Factor. If any journal found Plagairism articles in there database then impact factor will get reduced.
  • If any journal is science & technlogy based then the Contribution to scientific quality will be measured by its article. Other disciplines are also considered for the same.
2) Manuscript Quality
This criteria is based on Article Publishing Quality. This criteria includes various DTP factors which affects quality of the article.

  • Choosing correct size and layout of pages.
  • Ensuring consistent use of capitalization and spelling.
  • Applying proper numbering mechanics in the article.
  • Checking format for bibliographic references, i.e. according to any of Citation Style.
  • Using punctuation consistently.
3) Presentational Quality
  • Journal website design. i.e. ease of use, ease of access, online submission, payment methods. In case of print only then quality of printed version of journal, regularity of article publishing, back issue viewing.
  • Degree of acceptance and presence of journal in the International and National market.
  • Management bodies for the journal governance - such as Editorial Board, Advisory Board, Executive Board, Article Review Team etc.
  • The International representation of research fellows in the Editorial Board boosts the score of the journal, and it creates a chance to further the journal's development.
